Okta User Provisioning

This post details how to send a notification into Knowi when a user is provisioned in Okta.

To setup provisioning of users from Okta in Knowi:
1. Login to the developer portal at Okta

2. Select in Okta menu the Workflow -> Event Hooks

3. Create Event hook. To fill fields, use matching field names from Knowi SAML UI. You'll see a section under "OKTA USER PROVISIONING". Auth field name can be any string, and secret also can be any string but  should match same on Okta and Knowi.

Events type can be "User assigned to App" or "User created" and any others which contain user info. If you wish to send events only for users that Knowi is assigned to, choose "User Assigned to App" 

4. Once setup, when a  user creation event occurs in Okta, Knowi will receive an event and provision the User. If "User Assigned to App" is selected, set the "Application Name" field to the name of the Okta application so that Knowi will only process create user events for users that you choose to provision Knowi for.
