Filter/Group Dashboards by Month/Year

Can I put a filter option with Week/Month etc that will automatically group the data with aggregations?

  Here’s a recording of how to use the dynamic month/year dropdowns using runtime parameters into the query: http://recordit.co/RfipooLmWL. 

  Steps:

     - Setup a direct query with runtime parameters where the grouping is a dynamic field. 

     - Setup the dynamic field dropdown values via Copy/Paste or CSV upload

      - Add the widget(s) into the dashboard --> Setup filters --> Point the filter suggestions to the dataset from step 2.
