Ever wished you could make changes to your dashboards and widgets without affecting your deployed production dashboards until you get them right? Now you can! Introducing our new Private Draft Mode.
Dashboard Private Draft Mode
This new dashboard feature will allow users to make edits and revisions to their dashboard, which will be hidden from all other users until the changes are published.
This feature can be found at the top right of all dashboards for users with edit permissions.
Once enabled, and a change has been made, the options to either Publish or Restore will appear at the top of the dashboard. Publishing will apply the changes globally. Restore will revert all the changes that have been made since the previous publish.
Widgets also have their own publish and restore buttons so that the user can publish a specific widget without publishing any other changes to the overall dashboard.
Any changes made while in Private Draft mode will be saved to that user until they are either published or reverted.
Turn off Private Draft mode to go back to the original version of the dashboard. When the Draft mode is turned back on, it should display the unpublished changes back again.
